Marketing Director

I was raised in Clayton, NC, but moved around quite a bit when I was younger while my parents were in the U.S. Marine Corps. One of the biggest accomplishments of my life was graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2011. I began working in property management while in school and continued after I graduated. After 5 years of property management, I worked at an Assisted Living Community for 2 years before finally making it to Cambridge Village of Apex! The main reason I got into this industry was because I’ve always enjoyed helping others and I love meeting new people. I currently live in Fuquay-Varina with my 100 lb. dog Bailey and my 2-year-old daughter Olivia. I love to go shopping with my daughter, hiking, traveling and sitting on my back porch while reading a good book.

Community Relations Director

Sarah Stephenson

I grew up moving from state to state as a military brat until I was 14 years old. After my father retired from the Navy, my family settled in Shallotte, NC, about 6 miles from Ocean Isle Beach. I graduated from Campbell University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications with a specialization in Health Communications and Public Relations. My husband and I enjoy living in Fuquay-Varina with our kitty Huie, and our German Sheppard, Fritz.  I truly love working for Cambridge Village of Apex and I enjoy promoting such an amazing company.

Resident Relations Director

Lisa Triano

I went to college at Becker College in Leicester, MA for a degree in Education. After a few winters in MA, I decided after graduation I was moving to Florida! I was hired at Walt Disney World where I started off as an entertainment performer and then moved to Celebrity Tours and Marketing & Sales and worked there for 10 years.  I also volunteered at Give Kids the World, which was very rewarding. I then moved to Holly Springs NC where I have lived since 2000. I have been working with retirement communities since I was a teenager and found my passion for helping others. Not only do I work here at Cambridge Village but I am also a volunteer for Wake County Courts with the Guardian ad Litem Program and also an administrator for MS Encouragement for Caregivers.

I recently married my wonderful husband, Ed, who has MS and is such a loving father and amazing chef! We have three children (Tyler 14, Justin 12, and Emily 3) and our very active dog, Bella. We live in Holly Springs and absolutely love the small town feel.

I love the extended family I have found working here at Cambridge Village. I work with an amazing team and our residents are much like family. Cambridge has been my home since March 2014, where I was the receptionist until January 2015 when I was promoted to Resident Relations Coordinator, a position I feel honored to have. I love helping others and have a personal knowledge of working with disabilities as well as helping families get services that may be needed for the family or one of our residents. The community at Cambridge is amazing! We offer a variety of activities including  playing games with friends, shopping, movies, enjoying beautiful music and singing, celebrations of all kinds, trips to restaurants, museums and so much more.  Please feel free to stop by my office anytime for a question, or just to say hi.

Katy Parfitt

Katy Parfitt has been working at Cambridge for 4 months now and is loving it. She was born and raised in Roulette PA, a tiny township in Potter County, near the Allegheny National Forest. Growing up in such a small town allowed her to be involved in many school clubs, activities, and sports, as well as church and volunteering. She went to Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA, where she graduated with a B.S. in Biology, minoring in Fine Arts and pitching on the School’s Fast-Pitch Softball team. After graduating, she moved to Florida and began working as a naturalist with Audubon and other conservation organizations.

After a family move to Gainesville, FL she fell into an assistant activity director position for an Independent Senior Living Community and fell in love with Senior Activities. She has since worked in several communities coordinating activities for seniors and enjoys the family feel and making people happy and active. A move to North Carolina to be closer to family, has brought her to Raleigh, NC where she first worked as a naturalist and environmental educator with the City of Raleigh and Wake County Parks and Recreation Divisions. When the job at Cambridge opened up, she jumped at the opportunity and is so happy to be working with all the wonderful Residents and Staff here. She is looking forward to making more memories with the Cambridge Village of Apex Family in the years to come.”

It was then that we moved again with our three boys (Cory, Nicholas and Joshua) and one daughter (Julianna) We have been in North Carolina for five years now and proud to call it home. I have been with Cambridge Village for more than two years now and feel so blessed to be considered family to our wonderful residents.

Cameron Gaitlin Cambridge Village of Apex

Activity Director

Cameron Gaitlin

I grew up in New Bern, NC, then moved to the Triangle Area where I eventually graduated from NC State in 2013 with a B.S. in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management, and a minor in Outdoor Leadership. My biggest accomplishment was completing a month long backpacking trip in the Cascade Mountains with the National Outdoor Leadership School. I’ll never forget the fulfillment achieved from climbing beautiful mountains, or the peacefulness from being miles away from civilization. Before I started at Cambridge Village I was the Assistant Director for St. Timothy’s After School Program, and a Zipline Course Instructor at Go Ape in Raleigh, NC. I have always had a passion for the outdoors, and for a while, I worked on the side guiding trips, teaching rock climbing, paddling, and teambuilding with the City of Raleigh’s Adventure Program. After I married my wife in 2015, I decided to pursue a different line of work and jumped aboard with the Activities Department at Cambridge Village. Whether it is leading a group of college students on their first backpacking trip, or seeing residents laugh and smile at Cambridge, I’m always thrilled to give someone a happy memory to take home with them. In my free time, I enjoy seeing live music, reading, playing guitar, and backpacking and travelling with my wife Hayden, and dog Charlie.
