3rd Phase construction announced
With demand high for apartments in phase II , which opened in July of this year, plans are underway to begin construction of the next apartment building. Phase II added 36 more apartments and three new floor plans. This phase will include 43 more apartments. This will bring the total number of apartments at the Apex community to 164.
Supportive Care Units
18 of these units will be designated as a Supportive Care Wing, where residents can receive enhanced care such as nursing services and 24 hour monitoring. Included in the wing will be dining room and activity room for residents living in these apartments.
Construction is expected to begin in early 2014 and completed in approximately 12 months.McKinley Construction based in Wilmington NC will be the general contractor on the project. “We are responding to the needs of our current and future residents.” explained co-owner, Kendall Oliver. “As our residents age and require higher levels of care, they prefer to remain in the community they have become familiar with. Our ability to offer enhanced supportive care will allow those needing this level of care to age in place.”
