Rolling Sculpture, North Carolina Museum of Art
If you were a fan of the North Carolina Museum of Art’s (NCMA) Porsche exhibit in 2015, then you won’t want to miss their newest automobile exhibit, Rolling Sculpture: Art Deco Cars from the 1930’s and 40’s. The art deco period is known for blending modern decorative arts with industrial design. During this era, the automobile became the perfect canvas on which to experiment. Originally scheduled for October 7, The Charlie Daniels Band will now be playing with Alabama on October 23. If you’re a fan of “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” or “Song of the South,” you won’t want to miss this fun-filled evening.

Traditional dance caller, Connie Carringer, will teach dances to the whole family including: Squares, Circles, Appalachian, and more. This event includes live, old-time, string band music by local musicians, and tickets are just $2 per person. No experience or partner is required to attend.

18th Annual Turkey Trot 5K, Apex Community Park
The Turkey Trot is a fun, annual Apex tradition that always takes place the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Participants will get to enjoy a scenic course around the lake in Apex Community Park. Registration is limited to the first 600 registrants, so submit your form soon!
