A Raleigh developer and operator of the Cambridge Village senior living facility in Apex and another under construction in Wilmington has bought land near Brier Creek in Raleigh with plans to build the company’s third property in the state.
The proposed site for the Cambridge Village at Brier Creek community has a zoning classification that will allow for up to 316 living units, a 43,000-square-foot health club and 14,000 square feet of retail and restaurant uses, according to city records.
An affiliate of Oliver Development LLC of Raleigh that’s led by former senior living administrator Kendall Oliver, the owner and operator of the Cambridge Village communities, has paid $3.5 million for the 12.66-acre site at Brier Creek. The property is located at the southwest corner of Brier Creek Parkway and the recently extended T.W. Alexander Drive from Stratford Land of Dallas.
It is across the street from the site of the proposed 129,000-square-foot Legacy at Brier Creek office building that Heritage Properties of Baltimore is planning to build in 2016. Heritage on Dec. 17 paid $2.6 million for its 9.5 acre site.
It’s also near the 460-acre Carolina Arbors by Del Webb housing community in east Durham, an age-restricted, active adult development that will have 1,250 homes at build-out
