Cambridge Village hosted the 2nd in a series of “Wellness as a Lifestyle” luncheons. The topic discussed at this luncheon was “Making sense of Senior Living Options”. A panel of professionals, including Geriatric specialist Dr. David Fisher, Rex Health Apex Rehab Administrator Nicole Jones and Senior Bridge president Sandi Massey, joined Mark Wilson, Vice President of Corporate Marketing for Cambridge Village, to discuss this topic and answer questions. Over 35 attendees listened to a the panel describe how Cambridge Village was redefining the way heath care services were being offered in a senior living community setting. The lines are blurring in the way we traditionally viewed “levels of care”. In the past most people defined senior living alternatives in distinct categories, independent, assisted living and skilled nursing. At Cambridge Village we are partnering with healthcare providers to offer a wide spectrum of  health care services. More importantly, we all work together with a focus on keeping our residents well,”explained Mark Wilson. “This approach also leads to a better delivery of care and lower cost,”added Dr. Fisher. “The patient is only paying for the services they need and in most cases they remain independent because they are encouraged to stay involved in the Wellness programs at Cambridge Village,” Dr. Fisher concluded.

The “Wellness as a Lifestyle” series continues through September, with topics ” How to be a lifelong learner” and “Learn How to make staying fit, fun”. To register for these free luncheons, click here
